Seeing Eye Tiger

The artist will cross the entire length of 14th Street blindfolded, led by a seeing-eye dog while wearing a headdress. The performance will pass the American Foundation for the Blind, located on West 14th Street, in order to bring awareness to the challenges a blind person must endure in order to navigate through NYC streets. This project extends the artist’s interest in crossing rituals and drawing parallels between ancient and contemporary manifestations that get transformed through the process of hybridization.
